13th Annual Giant Steps Bike Ride

The Giant Steps 3 Day Bike Ride is an annual event to raise money for Giant Steps. The 2017 ride will be based at Noosa. As spaces are limited to 50 riders participation is by invitation only.
Over the past 12 years we have raised over $2.9 million. Our target for 2017 is to raise $200,000 towards the $5 million needed to cover the gap between $10 million that it will cost to run Giant Steps Sydney and Melbourne and $5 million that is expected from state and federal government.
You will be able to sponsor a rider by making a tax deductible donation either through Everyday Hero or for donations above $500 by making a direct deposit by contacting Michelle Jocum at
The money raised from the bike rides has enabled Giant Steps to erect three playgrounds, convert a derelict building into a library and continue to improve the services provided to students and their families. It also facilitated the establishment of a post-school program and an extension to the Early Learning Building. The Llewllyn-Jones Medical Clinic was founded by a donor who is affiliated with the bike ride. The 2016 bike ride helped enable the school opened in Melbourne to be financial in its first year. In 2017 Giant Steps has enrolled additional students in Sydney and Melbourne, constructed a new purpose built playground and will be adapting to the introduction of NDIS.
