Kindergarten to Year 6
Like other schools in NSW, the Kindergarten to Year 6 program follows the curriculum set by the NSW Board of Studies and covers key learning areas such as literacy, numeracy, science, creative arts and physical education. However the curriculum allows for a diverse range of learners and is divided into stages so students are able to progress at their own pace.
Teaching and learning activities are designed to challenge, motivate and support each student. While the program is intensive, it is not one-to-one as it is important for the students to learn to work in groups. Lessons are not always classroom bound as it is important that all skills and knowledge are mapped to real life experiences. Learning is not an isolated experience, but given context in the broader society. Thereby the students grow in confidence and begin to learn about their place in the world.
Integration into mainstream schools is also offered and supported where appropriate. Hours are from 8.45am until 3.00pm, Monday to Friday. Apply here.
